We ask you to photograph what you own and attach your invoices. This page says exactly what happens to that.

Who is responsible

What we hold
Your email address, your name if you give it, and everything you record about your items: names, descriptions, brands, serial numbers, values, photos and documents. Scans of your QR codes are counted, with a country and a timestamp — never a coordinate.
Why we hold it
To run the service you asked for: showing you your inventory, rendering the public page of an item you chose to publish, and passing a finder's message to you. We do not profile you, and we do not use your content to train anything.
What a stranger can see
Only what you published, field by field, and never: your name, your address, your phone, your email, the identity of previous owners, your documents, your private history, any location, any purchase or estimated value, or a complete serial number — only its last four characters. Photos shown publicly are re-encoded copies with all metadata removed, including GPS coordinates.
Who else sees it
Nobody buys it, and nobody advertises with it. Our hosting and email providers process it on our instructions only. There are no third-party trackers on any page of this product.
How long
As long as your account exists. When you delete it, your items, photos and documents are deleted with it. ⚠️ The exact retention periods for backups and audit logs are being finalised.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to a processing. Write to privacy@cegeta.com. ⚠️ The self-service export and deletion tools are being built.
How we protect it
Everything is private by default: a field becomes public only when you make it public. Your documents are never public, under any setting. Files are served only through short-lived links tied to you, never directly from storage, and opening a document is logged.
